英訳しながら英語力を伸ばす 椎名林檎さん「幸福論」②
2日前に椎名林檎さんの「幸福論」を英訳しました。
ググったら、既に英訳されているファンの方がいました。

訳で、この言葉のチョイスうまい！と思う部分がたくさんありました。
文法と新たな語彙に注目しながら
自分の拙い訳と比べつつ、学んでいきたいと思います(*'▽')
自己添削
”When I started looking for true happiness
I started to think that I wanted to be in love and be loved back."
☆start to V(動詞）とstart Ving の違い
オックスフォード実例現代英語用法辞典によると
意味に大きな違いはないが、
１．現在進行形 今~し始めているというときは 不定詞を使うことが多い
＊I’m starting to like him. 彼を好きになり始めている
(I'm starting liking だとiing ing が続いて不自然ですもんね、)
２．後に続く動詞が状態動詞（know, like, understand）の場合も、不定詞が好まれるそうです。

隠しがちな
”you tend to keep hidden ”
先に、「泣いて笑う君」を持ってくる。
素顔で（泣いて笑う君）→本当の君を見せてくれる
”You laugh and you cry and show me the real you”
”So I don’t wish at all from the flow of tiime or the color of the sky.

☆～ように... の言い方
So ~(文章) 副詞［様態を表して］
そのように、このように
☆Like～ (長い文章)は結構使われているけれど口語表現
likeは他の意味、好きとかの印象がつよいから紛らわしい
特にフォーマルなときはso かas が無難なのですね、、

☆asとlike の違い
前置詞として使う時

fact 事実 客観的に分かる the certain fact
truth 真実 *実際に起こっていない"観念"も含む factより重い印象の意味

×私訳 make me feel happiness
☆make 人（気持ちを表す）形容詞
happier ならあり 基本的な所を間違えていて、ショック！
